About Study Course

Objective

To obtain knowledge about: - public health monitoring and reporting (PHMR), indicators used to monitor public health and diseases subjected to monitoring; - the role of primary healthcare in ensuring public health; - healthcare system management principles; - health promotion policy and practice development principles, applied strategies, political and socio-economic factor of health promotion practice. - regularities of communication processes. Occupational health, hygiene of children and teenagers and the risks related thereto.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.During acquisition of the study course a medical resident obtains knowledge about: - Public health monitoring and reporting (PHMR), indicators used to monitor public health and diseases subjected to monitoring; - the role of primary healthcare in ensuring public health; - healthcare system management principles; - health promotion policy and practice development principles, applied strategies, political and socio-economic factor of health promotion practice; - regularities of communication processes. Occupational health, hygiene of children and teenagers and the risks related thereto.

Skills

1.As a result of the study course, the resident will be able to: - carry out environmental monitoring, surveying objects, evaluating risk factors and their impact on health, developing measures (proposals) to reduce them; - perform hygienic expertise of objects and events.

Competences

1.As a result of successful acquisition of the study course a medical resident will develop compulsory competence of a certified public health physician allowing to independently operate in the area of public health.
