About Study Course

Objective

Gain in-depth knowledge of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, shock, acute respiratory distress: clinical manifestations, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, therapy in childhood. To gain knowledge of pulmonary ventilation in childhood, indications, contraindications.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Know the principles of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in children. Know how to diagnose, draw up an examination plan and provide appropriate treatment for a patient with shock, acute distress syndrome in childhood. Know the principles, indications and contraindications of pulmonary ventilation.

Skills

1.Skills to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Competences

1.Use the acquired knowledge and skills to perform the functions of a highly qualified specialist and to advise patients with acquired and congenital lung and respiratory diseases at any age of the child.

During each study course, reports are prepared, clinical cases are reviewed, and literature is reviewed. In addition to seminars, residents conduct research and pedagogical work, as well as attend lectures organised by the Centre for Continuing Education on interdisciplinary problems and theoretical guidelines in medicine and other sciences.
