Knowledge
1.After mastering the study course (module) the student will be able to describe the concept of human health; to explain health promotion and prevention measures in cases of the most common diseases; to describe the organisation and financing system of health care; to describe the structure and main functions of the normal cardiovascular system, respiratory and nervous systems, as well as to explain the most common disorders of these systems; will be able to explain such pathological processes as inflammation, hypoxia, tumours, stress, fever, diabetes, dementia.
Skills
1.As a result of the studies, the student will be able to apply knowledge about health promotion and disease prevention within their competence in very general terms; will be able to use the understanding of the functions of the human body and their disorders to solve socio-medical problems within the team in a very general way; will be able to apply care and assistance methods for people with mobility impairments.
Competences
1.As a result of the studies, the student will be able to analyse the bodily functions necessary for human functioning and their disorders, in the context of disability; will be able to plan and develop solutions to socio-medical problems within the team, according to their specialty.

For each class, the student has to review the previously acquired material, writing a nutrition diary, discussions in small groups during the classes on problematic issues.

|
The final assessment consists of 3 categories: attendance + independent work + final exam grade. Attendance is mandatory (the course is passed with 100% attendance). A rework is an essay about a lesson.
Examination method: • short written tests or oral control questions after learning each topic; • final exam: written exam.
