About Study Course

Objective

The aim of the study course is to develop an understanding of spirituality in psychology that emerges from contemporary discourse on the given topic. Provide knowledge about the history and development of the concept of spirituality until today. Develop professional competence through spiritual practice.

Preliminary Knowledge

Basic knowledge of psychology.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Upon successful completion of the study course students will have acquired knowledge about: • the history and stages of development of the concept of spirituality; • modern view of spirituality in the discipline of psychology, its theory and practical application, taking advantage of giving students the opportunity to get acquainted with various aspects of the spiritual dimension.

Skills

1.Upon successful completion of the study course, students will be able to: • Recognise, evaluate and use the spiritual practices learned in the study process.

Competences

1.Upon completion of the study course, students will be able to independently orient themselves in both theoretical and basic practical issues of spiritual psychology.

In order to learn the content of the study course, according to the teacher's instructions, students have to: • study the presentations prepared by the lecturer, the materials posted in e-learning environment and read the mandatory literature; • prepare one report-type written work on the 1st and 2nd topics of the study course, supplementing them with insights from scientific publications; write a self-reflection on the use of spiritual practices; must prepare and pass the exam. In order to evaluate the quality of the study course as a whole, the student must fill out the study course evaluation questionnaire on the Student Portal.
