About Study Course

Objective

To provide and enhance the theoretical knowledge and practical skills in pediatric outpatient surgery, per the pediatric surgical specialty’s requirements to prepare the doctor for certification in the specialty of pediatric surgery.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.- to define possibilities of outpatient surgical diagnostics and treatment for children at various ages. - to draft the examination and treatment plan for patients with surgical pathologies. - to orientate with the diagnostic methods and instruments used in emergency pediatric surgery, as well as the surgical treatment options and principles. To learn: • detailed theoretical knowledge of surgeries which can be treated in an outpatient clinic for children of various ages. • post-operative outpatient care and treatment of patients. • to draft an examination and treatment plan for patients with surgical pathologies in an outpatient clinic.

Skills

1.- To determine the indications for outpatient surgical pathologies treatment. - To perform diagnostic and therapeutic surgical manipulation in different pathologies on out- patient basis for children at various ages.

1.To provide qualified surgical assistance for patients in outpatient clinic for children at various ages.
