About Study Course
Objective
Develop deep understanding and practical skills for students in developing therapeutic relationships with children and their parents in a dental context to promote children’s psychoemotional comfort, reduce fear of treatment and improve treatment outcomes.
Preliminary Knowledge
Anatomy, embryology, physiology, internal disease basics, paediatric basics, psychiatric basics.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Knowledge of personal development, importance of child-parent relationships, psychosomatic disorders in children’s dentistry, theoretical aspects of doctor-patient relationships in working with children, knowledge of working with children with special needs.

Skills
1.First contact with the patient-child and his or her parent. Use of toy elements in working with children.

2.Skills to manage the treatment process in various clinical situations in children: - agitated, controlling, aggressive, uncooperative, uniented, disinfected parent; - phobia of dentists, troubled child - Dentistry for acute conditions - child with AST, UDHS
