About Study Course

Objective

to provide an opportunity to develop the theoretical knowlegde and practical skills in normal and pathological obstetrics, toacquire differential diagnosis and tactics in case of pregnancy complications, as well as to acquire the primary resuscitation of newborns, therefore the emergency medicine doctor is able to manage the labor and provide care of a newbord beyond the obstertics department.

1.Students will be able to: • Describe the delivery process • Evaluate the pregnancy and postparum complications • Describe the newborn evaluation principles

1.Students will be able to: • Diagnose the pregnancy • Diagnose the emergency states during pregnancy, • To manage the labor, • To evaluate and resuscitate the newborn, • To diagnose and manage the postpartum complications in the hospital emergency department as well as prehospitally. 18. Competences

1.capability to diagnose and provide emergency assistance in complications of pregnancy, labor and postpartum pathology within prehospital and intrahospital emergency care; capability to manage the labor and provide the primary care of a newborn prior to obstetrician to overtake the care.
