About Study Course

Objective

The objective of the course is to provide students with the opportunity to develop the skills to critically analyse, plan and conduct research.

Preliminary Knowledge

Basic knowledge of research methods.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Students will understand and evaluate theories and evidence-based knowledge, will be able to analyse current trends in research of the respective field and formulate research questions specific to their professional competence.

Skills

1.Students will be able to evaluate the research paradigms that form the basis for the development of knowledge, will learn several research methodologies and analytical strategies. Will be able to manage the research process in accordance with ethical principles.

Competences

1.Students will be able to develop research questions relevant to their field, plan and manage the research process.

Students should choose one research method and in a small group (2-3 students) prepare and conduct a lesson on this method, paying attention to specific issues - scientific strength, possibility of error, reliability and validity.

Individually prepared interview analysis and summary (qualitative research methods).

3.

Master thesis topic application

40.00% from total grade
10 points

Master’s thesis topic selection, Master’s thesis study planning and preparation and defence of the topic application.

Journal Club

Selection of literature sources and critical analysis of the topic chosen for Master thesis, seminar report.
