About Study Course

Objective

Provide theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquisition and improvement in pediatric allergology.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.• Be able to explain the terms of allergology; • Describe allergic diagnostic principles of operation and use; • Explain the pathogenesis of allergic diseases at different ages; • Assess the child - an allergic patient; • Name and describe children's allergic diseases; • Compare different methods of investigation.

Skills

1.The student will be able to: • Collect relevant information about the children's allergic diseases; • Use the appropriate method for the investigation of patients with allergies; • Carry out differential diagnosis of allergic diseases; • Choose the most suitable / appropriate therapy; • Select and make the best use of examinations in accordance with the disease and the patient's age.

Competences

1.The student is able to use the acquired knowledge of children allergic diseases in the differential diagnosis: • Is able to formulate the diagnosis of allergic diseases; • Differentiate allergic diseases; • Interpret the findings on allergy tests; • Develop recommendations for allergy prevention.

Teach a resident to communicate with children, their parents, guardians, to collect the necessary information – history, to acquire the skills to investigate allergic patients of different ages, to choose and take correct allergy diagnostics and treatment procedures, to draw up a prevention plan. To prepare a presentation with a complex clinical cases every month.
