Objective
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.About the impact of work environment risk factors on the ears, nose and throat, about occupational diseases caused by these factors, diagnosis thereof, differential diagnosis with general diseases of the ears, nose and throat, treatment, working capacity examination and prevention.
Skills
1.To identify risk factors that cause ear, nose and throat diseases of occupational aetiology; carry out the diagnosis of occupational diseases of the ears, nose and throat, draw up documents for confirming the diagnosis of occupational disease; apply correct methods in the treatment of occupational diseases of the ears, nose and throat, rehabilitation and working capacity examination; perform a hearing test with whispered voice and tuning fork C128 and pure-tone audiometry.
Competences
1.To decide on: 1) the suitability of people for work in noise; 2) the effectiveness of preventive measures.
