About Study Course
Objective
Develop students’ ability to critically analyse, plan, implement and evaluate digital transformation in the health sector using internationally recognised digital transformation frameworks to promote data-driven, patient-centred and sustainable health systems.
Preliminary Knowledge
Basic knowledge of the organisation of the health system.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Describe the main concepts, principles and international frameworks of digital transformation in the health sector.
Group work
2.Explain the relationship between digital transformation and health system efficiency, quality, patient experience and value creation.
Group work
Skills
1.Analyse the readiness of health care organisations or systems for digital transformation and identify development priorities.
Individual work
2.Assess the potential impact of digital technologies and innovations on patient outcomes, organizational performance, and health system performance.
Group work
3.Identify and analyse enablers, risks and barriers to the uptake of digital innovation using structured analytical frameworks.
Individual work
4.Develop plans for the implementation of digital solutions, change management and stakeholder engagement in health organisations.
Individual work
5.To conduct a digital maturity assessment of the health organization and formulate recommendations for improvement.
Individual work
Competences
1.Integrate the principles of different digital transformation frameworks in complex problem solving in the health sector.
Individual work
2.To justify strategic decisions on digital transformation through an evidence-based approach, health systems thinking and international good practice.
Individual work
3.Independently develop proposals for the development of digital transformation for healthcare organisations or health systems, taking into account patient needs, organisational goals and health policy priorities.
