Students receive a relevant mark for each independent practical assignment on a 10-point grading scale. The assessment criteria are the following: correct identification of the situation, application of the precise regulatory enactment and the writing style in compliance with the requirements of business style.
Students receive a relevant mark for each independent practical assignment on a 10-point grading scale. The assessment criteria are the following: correct identification of the situation, application of the precise regulatory enactment and the writing style in compliance with the requirements of business style.
For the two independent assignments, students receive two marks, each on a 10-point grading scale.
In practical classes, students receive ‘a pass’, if they are able to answer the questions asked by the lecturer, do the presentation on the topic they've learned in the previous lecture, or participate actively in the class.
Prerequisites for taking the examination are the following: The student must attend at least 50% of the lectures, participate successfully in all the practical classes (one failed practical class is allowed), receive successful marks for both independent works.
In exceptional cases, insignificant deviations from the prerequisites for taking the examination shall be allowed, if they are agreed with the Head of the Department and the lecturer of the study course, if the student has objective reasons for non-fulfilment of the requirements (illness, emergency personal, family or working conditions).
At the end of the course, an examination should be taken that tests the theoretical knowledge of the student (two theoretical tasks) and a law case should be solved. In the theory part, the student shall draw lots for two theory questions to which precise answers must be provided. For each theory question, the student gets a mark on a 10-point grading scale, depending on the correctness and accuracy of the answers. For the theory part, the student shall receive the assessment equal to the average score of both theory questions. For the law case task, the student shall solve a legal situation by answering specific questions and shall receive a mark on a 10-point grading scale depending on the correctness and accuracy of the answers. The examination mark is the average mark of the theory part and the law case (on a 10-point grading scale).
The points obtained in one theory task of the examination can be exchanged (or added to the score of the answer) for the activity points obtained during the study course, which can be obtained by preparing presentations for practical classes and actively participating in practical classes. The maximum number of points to be obtained and exchanged accordingly is 10.
The final mark on a 10-point grading scale is determined taking into account the average mark of the both practical tasks (50%) and the examination mark (50%).
If any score contains a decimal number:
1) the value below 0.5 is rounded down;
2) the value above 0.5 is rounded up;
3) the value of 0.5 is rounded up or down, depending on the student's activity and attitude towards the fulfilment of the study course requirements.
