About Study Course

Objective

To promote the development of the professional competence of students in the organisation and management of teaching and learning in the context of diversity.

Job description: The student selects and analyses sources of pedagogy (such as folk songs, pedagogical texts or other historical sources), identifies the objectives, methods and values of teaching and education reflected therein, compares them with the knowledge of modern pedagogy and draws conclusions.

Fulfilment conditions: The work must be designed individually and presented at the workshop.

Evaluation parameters and criteria: evaluate the analysis of sources by determining whether pedagogical principles and their relevance to modern pedagogy have been correctly identified. Evaluates the validity of the conclusions, the use of professional terminology and the quality of the presentation.

Analysis of the scientific Article

Job description: The student chooses one scientific Article on educational development trends in the 21st century, analyses the findings expressed therein and prepares a presentation.

Fulfilment conditions: The work must be designed individually and presented at the workshop.

Evaluation parameters and criteria: assess understanding of the content of the Article, analysis of key findings, validity of conclusions, use of professional terminology and quality of presentation.

Lesson planning

Job description: The student critically evaluates learning theories, develops a lesson plan according to the competence approach and performs self-assessment and mutual evaluation thereof.

Fulfilment conditions: The work must be designed individually and presented in the practice session.

Assessment parameters and criteria: Assess the consistency of the lesson plan with the results to be achieved, the validity of the chosen learning methods, the reasoning of self-assessment and the ability to provide constructive mutual assessment.

Evaluation of an inclusive learning environment

Job description: students in the group analyse good practice examples, develop criteria for evaluation of an inclusive learning environment, evaluate an educational institution and present conclusions.

Fulfilment conditions: work to be done within the group, results to be presented at the workshop.

Evaluation parameters and criteria: assess the relevance of the criteria developed, the quality of the analysis of the situation, the validity of the conclusions and the quality of the presentation.

5.

Planning and conducting of training processes

Job description: The student formulates the purpose of the study and the results to be achieved, chooses appropriate learning methods, justifies their choice and conducts a 15-minute learning lesson.

Fulfilment conditions: The work must be designed individually and demonstrated in the practice session.

Assessment parameters and criteria: Evaluate the wording of the results to be achieved, the suitability of the chosen methods for the purpose of learning, the skills of conducting the lesson and the ability to justify the selected methodological solutions.

Development of criteria for assessing student performance

Job description: The student develops descriptions of student performance levels and criteria for assessment and self-assessment of translational skills.

Fulfilment conditions: The work must be designed individually.

Evaluation parameters and criteria: assess the consistency of the criteria developed with the results to be achieved, clarity of wording and practical applicability.

Analysis of collaboration models

Job description: students in the group analyse the experiences of three countries in cooperation with colleagues and parents of pupils, collect examples from the practice of educational institutions and develop recommendations for improving cooperation.

Fulfilment conditions: work to be done in a group, to be presented at a seminar.

Evaluation parameters and criteria: assess the analysis of the information, the comparative evaluation, the validity of the recommendations and the quality of the presentation.

Feedback analysis

Job description: The student interviews two educators about providing feedback and evaluating student performance, summarizes the findings, analyzes them, and presents conclusions.

Fulfilment conditions: The work must be designed individually and presented at the workshop.

Job description:

The examination shall consist of two parts:

  1. Demonstration of pedagogical skills in a modelled pedagogical situation where the student plans and justifies the pedagogical solution, demonstrates the choice of teaching methods and analyses a professional situation.
  2. The written work in which the student evaluates his or her professional competence shall analyse the knowledge and skills acquired in the study course, as well as develop a professional improvement plan for future pedagogical activity.

The evaluation parameters and criteria

  • for the analysis of the pedagogical situation and the validity of the options chosen;
  • the cross-compliance of learning objectives, results to be achieved and learning methods;
  • the use of professional terminology and the quality of reasoning;
  • the validity of the self-assessment of professional competence and the development of a plan for professional improvement.
