About Study Course

Objective

To provide knowledge and practical skills in the aetiology, pathogenesis, clinic, treatment, specific and non-specific prevention of infectious diseases, diagnostic principles of infectious diseases in the context of clinical microbiology.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.To describe the aetiology, sources, transmission, pathogenesis, clinic, bacteriological, serological, molecular-biological diagnostic directions, specific and non-specific prevention, principles of treatment of infectious diseases.

Skills

1.To examine the patient’s objective clinical condition, prescribe bacteriological, serological, molecular-biological examinations, prescribe additional examinations, evaluate the results, prescribe appropriate therapy.

Competences

1.Will be able to diagnose, prescribe treatment, advise patients with acute and chronic infectious diseases. Will understand the principles of specific and non-specific prevention thereof.
