About Study Course
Objective
To master the necessary knowledge and skills in the preparation and conducting of military classes, military leadership, ethics and leadership for the student to be able to educate pupils and to national defence training in schools.
Preliminary Knowledge
The Basic Military Training Course (Level 1 and 2) has been mastered successfully.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.1. Will supplement understanding of the military environment and national defence from the point of view of an instructor (military teacher) and will integrate the skills and competences acquired during the process of professional improvement into the study process. 2. Will strengthen knowledge of the laws and regulations, structure and history of the armed forces, considering interdisciplinarity and integration of study content, will improve group management skills. 3. Will understand the interaction between the professions of a national defence training teacher and a soldier/instructor, will use the principles of teamwork and the methods of organisation.

1.4. Will practice the planning, preparation and leading military exercises of various types and complexity by interpreting and integrating standards and guidelines into the building of an inclusive, safe, ergonomic, activating and evolving study environment. 5. Will improve and demonstrate military management and leadership skills by building an inclusive, intellectually stimulating and emotionally secure student’s learning and development needs based, cooperation-oriented, physically safe learning environment for the student. 6. Will be able to act in accordance with the requirements of laws and regulations and working instructions when providing first aid and acting in emergency situations.
Competences
1.7. Will combine basic military knowledge with the skills of preparing and leading military classes by planning and developing study content, methods, aids and resources for the implementation of the study process.

|
Students’ attitude, leadership qualities, test results, conducting classes are assessed weekly. Students learn skills in how to assess a student and organise productive self-assessment.
The purpose of taking the test is to assess knowledge and skills in accordance with learning outcomes of the study course, so that they are able to lead military leadership knowledge and skills classes within the framework of the national defence training.
1. Combat procedure as part of military leadership exercises
Military leadership exercises last three days, where each student is provided with at least three leadership exercises, which the student individually and independently plans and performs in accordance with the combat procedure at unit level, demonstrating the qualities of a manager and a leader. At least one of the three military leadership exercises has been carried out in accordance with the given situation, following a unit-level combat procedure. The student’s combat procedure is assessed according to the parameters and criteria of the assessment of the combat procedure and the qualities of a manager and a leader according to the military leadership assessment sheet. The combat procedure is assessed as part of military leadership exercises by a senior training specialist/unit commander of the relevant unit.
2. Integrated test on the subjects taught in the study course
The integrated test is organised without the possibility of retaking it within the study course, in the form of a presentation. The test consists of 75 questions about the subjects taught in the study course. A satisfactory test assessment is 4, which constitutes 40% of correct answers from 75 test questions. The integrated test is performed in an auditorium individually and independently. Multiple answers are not possible in integrated test questions.
3. Preparing and conducting of practical classes
The preparation and conducting of practical classes is organised within one day without the possibility of retaking within the study course programme. Before the test, students are provided with a preparatory phase of classes, at least six astronomical hours the day before the date of the examinations. During the preparatory phase, the material technical base is provided according to the list of topics of classes. Students equip study places on the day of examinations for the preparation and conducting of classes. Classes are assessed according to preparation and conducting assessment protocol and they are assessed by not less than two assessors.
According to the class preparation and conducting assessment protocol, an assessment (from A to E) is given, if the assessments of the assessors differ, the student chooses one of the assessments by self-assessment.
