About Study Course

Objective

To ensure acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in order to prepare an oncologist for thorough understanding of outpatient diagnostic operations, surgical treatment possibilities of different localisation tumours, methods, indications and contraindications, early and late post-operative complications of the relevant organs and patient care, the role of the multidisciplinary approach in decision of the treatment strategy and tactics before and after the operation, as well as post-operative classification of tumours and identification of prognostic factors.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Techniques of invasive diagnostic methods and tumour operations in outpatients, their indications, contraindications, advantages, drawbacks and potential complications.

Skills

1.To take imprint, scrape and puncture cytological material individually, puncture and biopsy of superficial and subcutaneous formations, dermatoscopy, rectoscopy, laser destruction and kryodestruction, material preparation for further examination and drawing up of documents, to take a decision on indications for organ-preserving or radical methods for tumours and decide on the further strategy and tactics of complex treatment according to the information obtained in the operative and pre-operative examinations.
