About Study Course
Objective
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.- to characterise clinically significant WBC antigen systems, their clinical role; - to describe test principles used in immunohaematology; - to evaluate results of problematic tests; - to evaluate quality control results for immunohaematological tests; - to characterise anti-RBC antibody formation principles.
Skills
1.- to conduct testing to determine ABO blood group, Rh, phenotype; - to perform screening, identification, titrating of anti-RBC antibodies; - to conduct immunohaematology quality control tests; - to conduct direct and indirect antiglobulin tests; - to interpret immunohaematological tests and their prognostic significance.
Competences
1.To perform immunohaematological examinations with different types of clinical immunohaematological methods, to independently determine blood group, Rh (D) and perform other blood compatibility tests, to perform their interpretation and prognostic meaning.
