About Study Course

Objective

Acquire dependence of knowledge and skills of psychotherapy of children and teenagers in compliance with the qualification of the psychotherapist. Provide knowledge and skills in diagnostics and differential diagnosis of mental, emotional, behavioural and psychosomatic disorders in a clinic for children and teenagers, as well as treatment; and in the etiopathogenesis children development disorders, as well as interpersonal relations disorders between a child and a carer are essential.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Recognise and define mental, behavioural and psychosomatic disorders with a crucial role of etiopathogenesis in children personality development disorders, disorders of inter-personal relations between a child and a caregiver, diagnostics and differential diagnosis, wide potential of the psychotherapy. To give an understanding of the goals and possibilities of counseling for couples and families.

Skills

1.Analyse a specific clinical case and elaborate treatment tactics.

Competences

1.Example-based knowledge, skills and attitude essential for working at a hospital and for research, raising public awareness via media; understanding of a team-work (work in groups) and its functions, psycho-dynamics, crisis situations and their solution; as well as the ability to manage the work of a multi-disciplinary team and be part of such team, supervise doctors and medical staff.
