About Study Course
Objective
Acquisition of basic knowledge about the application of Invasive Radiology and CT-targeted manipulations in the treatment of spinal diseases. Learning basic knowledge about vascular malformations in the spine, their diagnosis and treatment.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Acquires sufficient theoretical knowledge to learn to effectively and regularly use the possibilities of invasive radiology in the daily work of a spine surgeon.
Skills
1.Acquires sufficient skills to perform a CT-targeted biopsy in the thoraco-lumbo-sacral spine in collaboration with a radiologist assistant.
Competences
1.Competent in determining indications for invasive radiological manipulation or examination.

Preoperative angiography, embolization of spinal formations. Arteriovenous malformations in the spine. CT targeted manipulations. Administration of medication in the cervical spine. CT-targeted biopsies and vertebroplasty. Radiofrequency ablation in cases of small metastases. Patient selection criteria, course of manipulations, examples. Advantages compared to open or X-ray targeted methods.
