About Study Course
Objective
To be able to independently plan, conduct and present a scientifically grounded research project in the field of sport science, demonstrating the ability to formulate a research problem, select appropriate data collection and analysis methods, interpret results, justify conclusions, and develop practically relevant recommendations for the advancement of sport, health, and physical activity.
Preliminary Knowledge
The student has successfully completed all study courses of the master’s programme "Sport Science" and has achieved the learning outcomes required for independent research.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Knowledge of the theoretical orientations of research paper methodology in sports science has been acquired in depth.
2.Understanding the principles of data acquisition, analysis and interpretation in sports science research.
3.In-depth knowledge of the ethical and academic integrity principles of research papers in the research process.
Skills
1.Able to formulate a research problem and develop a scientifically sound research design.
2.Can obtain, analyse and interpret data using appropriate research methods.
3.Able to prepare and present the Master’s thesis by analysing and reasonably interpreting the results.
Competences
1.Demonstrate the ability to independently plan, implement and present a scientifically based research in the field of sports science.
2.Able to substantiate conclusions and make practical recommendations in the field of sport.
3.Demonstrate responsible, ethical and professional attitudes towards the research process.
