About Study Course
Objective
To integrate patient care and related manipulation, according to the professional standard of nursing ethics and knowledge acquired in the 1st, 2nd year of the study programme. Apply positive communication skills with the patient in care process, as well as cooperation with his relatives and other members of the team. To support the practical operation of the legal and ethical principles. Take a self-care plan for an individual patient and take care of patients in accordance with the set priorities for action.
Preliminary Knowledge
Pharmacology, clinical care basics, clinical care, nursing process and nursing theory, interpersonal communication in health care, Practice I, Practice II, internal diseases and patient care, surgical diseases and patient care.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Acquire basic knowledge in the care of primary, secondary and tertiary level surgical and oral disease patients.
2.Knowledge of clinical case development, principles of care planning and documentation based on evidence-based practice will be gained.
3.Will be aware of patient health assessment methods and clinical priorities in patient care.
Skills
1.Advanced theoretical and practical skills needed to plan and perform surgical and internal disease patient care for patients of all ages, both in clinics and other healthcare facilities.
2.To independently develop a clinical case for a particular patient and to perform care in accordance with the priorities set.
3.Skills for informing patients and their loved ones about the care process using positive contact methods.
Competences
1.Integrate theoretical knowledge and practical skills by ensuring patient care to professional and ethical standards.
2.Take reasonable and responsible decisions in patient care, evaluating the situation and taking the necessary measures to ensure patient safety and well-being.
3.Organise and manage patient care in collaboration with doctors and other healthcare specialists.
4.Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills in response to dynamic clinical situations.
5.Demonstrate empathy and respectful attitudes in dealing with patients and their loved ones, providing emotional support and education.
6.Ensure quality patient care in accordance with legal and ethical requirements as well as hospital guidelines and procedures.

Development and advocacy of a clinical case (in the field of intern and surgery) (The clinical case shall be prepared and evaluated in accordance with the methodological instructions of RSU Department of Nursing and Obstetric care Plan/Clinical case). |
