About Study Course

Objective

To promote students’ understanding of the essence of innovative scientific research, pedagogical theories and principles by developing basic skills and abilities of pedagogical work.

Preliminary Knowledge

Logic and Sociology of law at the Bachelor’s study programme level.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.After completing the study course, students will acquire knowledge of the essence and specifics of expression of the scientific truth achieved in the individual research work, as well as the basic skills of pedagogical work and will be able to contribute to the creation of new research/knowledge. Students will acquire knowledge in didactics, thus learning the principles of learning and the art of teaching.

Skills

1.After completing the study course, students will know how to present the results of their research according to the requirements and to take ethical responsibility for them. Students will understand the essence of basic skills of pedagogical work, models of formation of pedagogical relations.

Competences

1.After completing the study course, students will be able to apply the theoretical and empirical knowledge acquired during the research to a high level of competence and to integrate knowledge of different fields in their work with the specifics of law/jurisprudence. Students are able to apply the acquired knowledge in further study process and in the practice of law specialists by also using various non-standard solutions.

Students have two independent works: 1. Independently draft the design of one’s Master’s thesis. 2. Upbringing (group work) – coordinated with the lecturer.

The following will be assessed in the first independent work: • formulation of the social demand for the research direction (object); • identification of expected difficulties (including political conjuncture). The following will be assessed in the second independent work: • group work as a whole; • presentation of the work. Student examination will be assessed according to the RSU Academic Regulations I. The examination is expected at the end of the study course, summarizing the things learned during the course and final assessment consists of three assessments (two independent works and examination assessment – the grade of the exam shall be decisive).
