About Study Course

Objective

To acquire knowledge about trauma and polytrauma diagnosis, complications, mechanisms and treatment in accordance with the requirements of speciality of Forensic Medicine Experts for reason to prepare doctors for certification and independent work in forensic medicine.

Knowledge

1.Knowledge of injury and polytrauma classification, symptoms, diagnosis, complications, therapy methods, outcome.

Skills

1.Skills to diagnose an injury, assess its course, mechanism of occurrence, effect of therapy, age of injury (skill level B1-C1).

Competences

1.Diagnose an injury in a forensic medical clinic, perform a forensic medical examination, in cases of injury, assess its severity, mechanism of occurrence and time of occurrence, evaluate medical documentation, see traumatic changes in radiological examinations, assess the relationship with disability and fatal outcome.

- to increase knowledge about trauma and polytrauma classification, symptoms, early and late trauma complications; - to supplement knowledge about trauma and polytrauma diagnostic methods; - learn the basic principles and methods of trauma and polytrauma therapy; - get acquainted with the methods and technology of operative therapy of trauma; - familiarize yourself with possible complications or side effects of anesthesia and therapy, their early diagnosis and action plan; - identify injury mechanisms depending on the nature and morphological features of the injury.
