About Study Course

Objective

To improve the professional competence of students to plan, organise, manage and evaluate learning activities of rhythmic and rhythmic combinations, using the interaction of music and movement to promote pupils’ mobility skills, physical health, coordination, rhythm sense and creative expression at different stages of education.

Preliminary Knowledge

Basic knowledge of the planning and organisation of the sports and health training process, the characteristics of the development of the student stages of age, the principles of movement learning, health-promoting physical activity and safety requirements during sports and health hours. Ability to organise simple physical activity classes, collaborate in a group and use digital tools to ensure the learning process.

Job description: The student analyses the interaction between rhythmic, musical and movement and the role of rhythmic exercise in the development of children and young people by producing a theoretical review and presentation.

Assessment parameters and criteria: Evaluate:

  • the conformity of the theoretical report with the subject matter of the work and the objective pursued;
  • the validity of the analysis of scientific and methodological literature in identifying the most relevant findings;
  • the accuracy of the explanation of the interaction between rhythmic, musical and movement;
  • the justification for the importance of rhythmic gymnastics and aerobics in the physical, emotional and social development of children and young people;
  • the consistency of the conclusions with the analysis carried out;
  • the accuracy of the use of professional terminology;
  • the presentation structure, visual presentation and oral presentation shall comply with the requirements of the task.

Selection of musical material and development of rhythmic exercises

Job description: The student chooses the music material appropriate to the rhythmic class, develops rhythmic exercises and rhythmic combinations, practically demonstrates their management and prepares operational self-analysis.

Assessment parameters and criteria: Evaluate:

  • the relevance of the music material to the purpose of the rhythmic lesson, the age of pupils and the content of rhythmic exercises;
  • the relevance of rhythmic exercises and rhythmic combinations to the selected music material and the result to be achieved;
  • the logic of the sequence of exercises, ensuring gradual learning of movements;
  • compliance of the practical demonstration of rhythmic exercises and rhythmic combinations with performance techniques and teaching methodologies;
  • the accuracy of verbal instructions and demonstration when controlling rhythmic activities;
  • validity of operational self-analysis when evaluating selected music

Development of rhythmic combinations and exercise sets

Job description: The student develops and demonstrates rhythmic combinations and sets of exercises with and without inventory using selected music material.

Assessment parameters and criteria: Evaluate:

  • the consistency of rhythmic combinations and exercise sets with the selected music material and the result to be achieved;
  • the logic of the movement sequence and the structure of the exercise set;
  • accuracy of the technical performance of movements;
  • the validity of the use of the inventory, if provided for in the task;
  • compliance of the practical demonstration with rhythmic and rhythmic gymnastics methodologies;
  • the validity of the performance analysis by evaluating the quality of the developed exercise set.

Planning, conducting and evaluation of sports and health lessons (rhythmic or aerobic content)

Job description: The student shall draw up an hour plan for sport and health on the rhythmic or aerobic topic in accordance with the result to be achieved by the student specified in the State basic education standard, practically manage the hour fragment and evaluate his or her professional activity.

Assessment parameters and criteria:

  • the conformity of the sports and health hourly plan with the result to be achieved by the student specified in the State basic education standard;
  • the relevance of the selected learning activities to the age of pupils, individual capacities and the expected outcome to be achieved;
  • the logic of the hourly structure and sequence of activities;
  • compliance of hourly fragment management with rhythmic or aerobic teaching methodology;
  • the validity of feedback and self-assessment in assessing the achievement of the result to be achieved by pupils and their professional activities;
  • precision of the use of professional terminology.

Job description: The student shall develop an hour fragment of sport and health regarding the topic of rhythmic or rhythmic gymnastics in conformity with the given pedagogical situation and the result to be achieved by the student specified in the State basic education standard. During the examination, the student practically demonstrates the management of the hour fragment and verbally justifies the chosen methodological solutions.

Assessment parameters and criteria:

  • the conformity of a fragment of an hour of sport and health with the result to be achieved by the student specified in the State basic education standard;
  • the relevance of the selected rhythmic or rhythmic exercise activities and music material to the age and pedagogical situation of the pupils;
  • compliance of the practical guide with the methodology for teaching rhythmic and rhythmic gymnastics;
  • the validity of methodological solutions in the selection of training methods, organisation forms and training tools;
  • precision of the use of professional terminology.
