Objective
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Knowledge of mutual interconnection of sports medicine as a multidisciplinary field of medicine and public health and activity. Theoretical and practical knowledge of public involvement in appropriate sports activities, national sports, sports for children, inactive lifestyle and its effects on health of individuals and the society in general. Prevention, diagnosis, dynamics, treatment methods of different diseases caused by physical inactivity, physical activities individually adjusted to such patients, restrictions of physical activity.
Skills
1.Skills to purposefully choose the most suitable examination methods; assess examination results and develop a treatment and physical activity plan.
Competences
1.Competence in solving different clinical cases, diagnosis, etiopathogenesis, treatment, prevention and care.

|
Theoretical knowledge is acquired in 6 seminars and individual work with literature. During practical classes students monitor patients under the supervision of a physician eligible to provide such training, participate in examination and treatment of a patient by mastering patient examination, diagnostic and therapeutic manipulations. A medical resident acquires assessment methods of community sports activities used in sport medicine physician’s practice.

At the end of the study course the head of the residency programme evaluates the acquired theoretical knowledge in written and oral form. The written test shall be assessed according to the 10-point grading system.
