About Study Course

Objective

To provide and enhance the theoretical knowledge and practical skills in pediatric burn surgery, per the pediatric surgical specialty’s requirements to prepare the doctor for certification in the specialty of pediatric surgery.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.- to define conservative and surgical treatment indications in pediatric burn surgery for children at various ages. - to draft the examination and treatment plan for patients with different degree burns. - To orientate with the diagnostic methods and instruments used in pediatric burn surgery, as well as the surgical treatment options and principles. To learn: • detailed theoretical knowledge of emergency situations in pediatric burn surgery at children of various ages. • conservative and surgical treatment indications and their application in surgical emergencies in patients with different degree burns for children at various ages. • diagnostic methods, instruments and apparatuses, and practical skills for diagnostic and treatment manipulations used in pediatric burn surgery. • to draft an examination and treatment plan for patients with burns.

1.- To determine the indications for surgical treatment of burns. - To perform urgent therapeutic surgical procedures in burns for children at various ages.
