About Study Course

Objective

To improve the student's understanding of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF), its goals, characteristics and components, and its practical application, as well as the organisation of professional suitability assessment for people with disabilities.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.The resident learns how to classify a person’s functioning abilities and impairments at the level of body structures and functions, activities and participation, and to describe the possible influence of environmental and personal factors on functioning based on the basic principles of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF), as well as name and describe the members of the multidisciplinary team, their roles, aims and methods applied in psychiatric rehabilitation.

Skills

1.The resident understands the long-term consequences of various illnesses in different dimensions of the ICF, and plans and organises teamwork aimed at helping patients to develop their physical, emotional, social, and intellectual skills needed to live, learn and work in society as independently as possible.

Competences

1.The resident is able to assess impairments in functioning at the level of body functions and structure, activities and participation, taking into account environmental and personal factors, to plan teamwork aimed at developing the patient’s skills and providing an appropriate environment for maximum social functioning.
