About Study Course
Objective
to provide theoretical knowledge and practical skills and improve them in order to prepare the doctor for certification in the speciality of paediatric onco-haematology in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Republic of Latvia.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Knowledge of the epidemiology, biological features, treatment principles and palliative care of oncological diseases in children and adolescents.
Skills
1.Ability to communicate with a sick child or adolescent and his / her relatives, understanding of the purposes of dynamic surveillance and prevention of relapse in children and adolescents in the adult age group.
Competences
1.Aspects of systemic or complex treatment for specialists and doctors of other specialties are fully explained.
