About Study Course

Objective

To ensure the acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in renal and genitourinary injuries and diseases for the provision of highly skilled emergency medical care.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Will be able to: a) name and describe renal and genitourinary injuries and diseases, b) describe and explain the choice of treatment methods in each case, c) compare the different possible treatments for a given pathology and explain the priority of the chosen one, d) evaluate treatment results.

Skills

1.Will be able to: a) examine patients with renal and genitourinary injuries and diseases, b) prescribe additional methods of investigation (analysis, radiological, etc.); interpret them to clarify the diagnosis, c) perform, if necessary, emergency manipulations and operations: - ureteric catheterisation, - urinary bladder puncture, - urethral fistula placement and others.

Competences

1.Use the acquired knowledge to: a) establish a correct diagnosis, b) to differentiate various pathologies, to clarify the diagnosis, c) develop a treatment tactic, justifying it, d) evaluate treatment results, side effects and the patient’s working capacity.
