About Study Course

Objective

To provide basic knowledge about surgical treatment indications of periodontal diseases, the role of surgical treatment during follow-up.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Basic knowledge of indications and contraindications for periodontal surgical treatment. Basic knowledge of surgical methods for periodontal regeneration. Basic knowledge of the connection of periodontal surgery with the other phases of treatment.

Skills

1.Basic skills in surgical methods for periodontal pocket reduction. Basic skills in the surgical treatment of gingival hyperplasia. Basic skills in surgical resective and regenerative treatment methods.

Competences

1.Uses acquired knowledge in clinical practice. Can put an accurate diagnosis and make a treatment plan. Can interpret and analyze the results.
