About Study Course

Objective

To acquaint students with the specifics of the work of a psychologist in different environments, legislation regulating psychologist's activity, documentation in profesional action, profesioprofessional standard and ethics of psychologist's work.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Students describe the activities of a psychologist in various fields of professional activity, are familiar with the basic principles of a psychologist's activity. Students are familiar with the code of ethics of psychologists.

Skills

1.Students independently use the documentation regulating the activity of a psychologist in order to analyse situations related to the work of a psychologist. Use the code of ethics to analyse ethically sensitive professional situations.

Competences

1.Students are able to analyze and argue examples of a psychologist's work, using professional standards, regulations, and ethical principles to justify their decisions in simulated situations. Students demonstrate the ability to evaluate the quality of professional activities and their compliance with ethical requirements, based on described or hypothetical cases.

Case description, which includes a violation of the psychologist's professional activity (precisely marking/coloring the violation, indicating its transcript) (25%) to be placed in the e-environment - in MsWord l-3pp format, present a situation that is, of course, fictional - but could also be real in the professional activity of a psychologist - highlight violations and their indicators, intentions - color/mark. Specify the relevant article of the Law on Psychologists or the section of the Code of Ethics. To justify the chosen violation in writing - conclusions, why the violation would be truly possible in the implementation of the psychologist's professional activity. - Analysis of the case description of the psychologist's professional activity - is there a violation of the documents regulating the professional activity, unprofessionalism, ethical dilemma - in the case description (precisely and in detail) find the shortcomings, errors, violations in the psychologist's professional activity, as well as - explain why this is a violation, unprofessionalism etc. (25%) during the lecture/lesson - (30 min) Please bring an appropriate technical device for working with an MS Word document - Prepare a descriptive analysis of the errors, shortcomings, violations of the psychologist's professional activity made in the case description - explain why it is unprofessional or a violation. (Based on an understanding of the Law on Psychologists and/or the Code of Ethics, the Rules of Psychologists (MK), the standard of the psychologist profession) !!! Additional point - In writing in 1/5 page format, put forward recommendations to the psychologist - so that such or similar violations of professional activity do not potentially occur in the future in their professional activity (recommendations - meaningful and constructive).

- Participation in lectures and seminars (10%). - 3 short test results (in e-studies) (20%). - Results of the 4th test, which includes both open and closed questions (in e-studies) (20%). - Description of the case, which includes a violation of the psychologist's professional activity (precisely, the violation must be noted and specified, its explanation) (25%). - Deciphering a violation of the psychologist's professional activity, unprofessionalism in the case description (precisely and in detail, expressing understanding) (25%).
