About Study Course
Objective
To educate residents in such spheres of infectology, which are important for medical practitioners and patients from an epidemiological safety point of view. Advanced training in the infectious diseases section is for those infections that spread by blood transmissions, as well as possible contact infection.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Knowledge about the infectious diseases’ etiology, pathogenesis, clinical signs that can be seen in the dental office, prevention, and principles of restricting the spread of the disease.
Skills
1.Can use personal protective equipment, to assess the apparent clinical signs of the patient from the infectology’s point of view, prepare and apply disinfectants, to fill out a report on the potential or existing infectious disease epidemiological surveillance services.

1.Uses acquired knowledge in clinical practice.

With blood-spreading infectious diseases: bacterial, viral, fungal, protozoal. Causal agent characteristics, differences in pathogenesis, main clinical symptoms and possible prevention, treatment basics. Changes in the outer casing and oral identifiable characteristic symptoms of infectious disease.
