About Study Course

Objective

This course is designed for practicing clinicians and students of psychotherapy. The teaching is broadly based on Jungian and psychoanalytic approach to clinical practice and explores ways of working with dreams and the development of symbolic capacity in the context of analysis or psychotherapy. The course includes theoretical and experiencial components.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.In the course, it will be possible to gain knowledge about the basics of the concept of 'self-compassion', its development and practical applicability both in everyday life and within health sciences. The course includes topics that also focus on coping strategies for chronic stress and vitality.

Skills

1.Developed compassion for self and others, developed skills in dealing with chronic stress. Understanding about Freud’s and Jung’s approaches to dream interpretation, symbolisation and dreams in different ways.

Competences

1.For students to integrate the latest knowledge about the psychologist's professional work and work with different client/patient groups in their professional and research work.
