About Study Course

Objective

The aim of the course is to understand and use knowledge in the theoretical and practical planning, organisation, management of a variety of outdoor activities towards restoring the physical mental and psychoemotional workability of different groups of society.

Preliminary Knowledge

In the professional Bachelor’s programme of sports science, students need knowledge of human functioning, psychological and pedagogical aspects, which give students the opportunity to understand the movements to be performed, in outdoor activities at different times of the year. Knowledge of English is required at a sufficient level to read industry literature and guide course terminology in English.

1.Students will apply and describe recreational types of outdoor activities and their characterisation at different times of the year.

2.Students will understand and apply diverse collaborative activities, basic principles of group and team management, principles of development dynamics. Assembling groups and creating commands. Analytical evaluation of the development phase and operation of the team.

3.Students will use and understand the principles of use of digital tools, applications, communication technologies to be used in outdoor activities (publishing event posters and reports).

5.Plan, realize and evaluate a waterkeepers’ trek with a selected craft, providing an instruction, safety measures on the water - observing the binding regulations for waterkeepers’ participants when making a trek.

6.Plan, realize and evaluate the cycle procession by providing an instruction for safe hiking in populated areas, as well as preparation of equipment and identification and observance of binding regulations during the hike.

7.Plan the content of the required inventory and the prerequisites for the basis of survival at different times of the year.

8.Develop tourist obstacle zones and travel rally distances, taking into account safety principles and conditions for the conservation of natural resources.
