About Study Course

Objective

To give an idea of the possibilities of applying psychotherapy methods in the formation and strengthening of motivation, further therapy and resocialization for people with addiction to psychoactive substances and gambling.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.You will gain knowledge about: • About the basic principles of 12-step therapy • About the types of denial of addiction disease • For the short intervention with general assessment of conditions and problems • On direct and indirect intervention • On co-dependence • On the principles and basic methods of rehabilitation

Skills

1.After completing the course, you will be able to: • In written and oral communication • Ability to express oneself logically, argue, draw conclusions • Develop the ability to confront in a group and individually • Make responsible decisions, maintain self-control • Ability to evaluate and build motivation for abstinence • Ability to conduct group, individual and family therapy sessions • Reflect this in the medical documentation in an appropriate manner.

1.Competences will be acquired: • Be familiar with professional 12-step terminology • Implement the short intervention with problem assessment • Know the principles of multiprofessional team work • Find out about self-help movements • Organize further care in rehabilitation institutions • Be aware of the limits of your professional competence.
