Objective

Knowledge
1.During the time of the rotation discipline, the resident acquires basic knowledge and competences on preoperative examination of a living donor, preparation for donation, donation procedure of living donor organs, postoperative treatment of the donor, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of possible complications.
Skills
1.As a result of the rotation discipline, the resident will know how to prepare living donors for organ (kidney) donation, organ (kidney) donation procedure from living donors, postoperative treatment and observation of the donor.
Competences
1.Determination of indications for living donation, preparation of living donors for organ (kidney) donation, organ (kidney) donation procedure from living donors, management of postoperative treatment and observation of the donor.

Resident must acquire detailed theoretical knowledge of living donor surgery, organ donation technique, post-operative treatment and observation of the living donor; practical skills in obtaining donor organs from living donors and managing the post-operative period of donors. Must be able to obtain a high-quality donor organ (kidney) from living donors for future transplantation, manage the donor after kidney explantation.
