About Study Course

Objective

To ensure acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in clinical sexology in accordance with the requirements of the specialty of a physician-andrologist in order to prepare the doctor for certification in the additional specialty of andrologist.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Defines male erectile dysfunction and types of treatment thereof from a sexological perspective, with an emphasis on psychological/behavioural treatment. Knows male libido and ejaculation disorders, pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment thereof – from the perspective of sexology and sexopathology. Names female sexual disorders, causes, diagnosis, treatment thereof. Identifies sexual deviations: paedophilia, exhibitionism, sexual sadism, masochism and voyeurism, zoophilia. Explains pathologies such as sexual addiction and gender identity disorders.

Skills

1.Applies treatment methods for male sexual and erectile dysfunction, including behavioural ones, etc. Orients in the methods of treatment of female sexual dysfunctions. Orients in sexual deviations, including criminal ones.

Competences

1.Diagnoses and treats male libido and ejaculation disorders, erectile dysfunction; evaluates the choice of an adequate treatment method. Diagnoses and treats female sexual disorders. Orients in transgender issues and counselling.
