About Study Course
Objective
To develop an understanding of the social policy, state and municipal provision in the field of social services and social assistance, basic principles of providing social assistance.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.After successfully completing the study course, the student will be able to: • describe the social security system; • recognise the levels of social work practice; • recognise and explain social problems; • explain the work specifics of social work specialists; • describe the state and municipal benefits system; • recognise social services.
Skills
1.After successfully completing the study course, the student will be able to: • name 3 elements of the social security system; • name social work specialists; • list the duties of social work specialists; • list the basic principles of determining the amount of benefits; • describe the social assistance provision of at least one municipality; • name social problems.
Competences
1.Able to describe social security systems. Able to formulate the tasks of social work specialists. Able to describe the provision of state and municipal benefits.
