About Study Course

Objective

Promote students’ understanding of the process of setting up and managing a sports organisation, their legal framework.

Preliminary Knowledge

Acquisition of study courses: management theory, legal basics, business basics, sports management, business management, sports and fitness training.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Characterise the system of State and non-governmental sports organizations in Latvia.

2.Name and describe legislation governing the establishment and operation of sports organizations

3.Describe the management process of the sports organization.

4.Name forms of legal responsibility in sport.

5.Explain contract law related to sport.

Skills

1.Define the goals and objectives of the sport organization.

2.Create a structure for the management system of a sports organization.

3.Carry out an evaluation of the work of the sports organization.

4.Identify strategic objectives and carry out SWOT analysis.

1.Analyse and evaluate the activities of a sports organization, identify problems and address them.

2.Select and analyse the legal aspects of the establishment and operation of sports organizations of different legal status.
