About Study Course

Objective

Promote awareness of psychology as a science and its connection to other sciences. To promote understanding of the processes and manifestations of personal psychic statement processes and to provide knowledge of the fundamental principles of the development of these processes. To promote awareness of the nature of personality psychic processes, emotional states and individual characteristics and their manifestations in a sporting environment. To raise awareness of the regularities and specificities of human development at different stages of life, of the possibilities for promoting personal development and stimulating the growth of one’s personality.

Knowledge

1.Name psychology research methods, theoretical basic directions of psychology and use appropriate industry terminology.

2.Describes the specific nature of the object of developmental psychology, the cognitive and socio-emotional fields of the person and their development.

3.Defines mental statement processes and describes the periodization of age stages of personality development, personality development theories and clear approaches to personality development.

4.Describes the legal relationship between human mental development at different stages of age. Explains the impact of biological, social and environmental factors on human mental development.

1.Analyses personality development using different theoretical approaches of developmental psychology.

2.Analyses the characteristics of human development at different stages of age in the physical, cognitive, emotional and social fields of development.

3.Interpret psychological factors affecting human behaviour and development in sports or training situations.

Students create a mental cognition process (sensations, perceptions, attention, memory, thinking) thought map within the framework of their own work, analysing the interaction of these processes in a particular situation or case analysis. The work describes the role of mental processes in human behavior. Evaluation criteria: correct identification and definition of psychiatric processes; analysis of interaction between processes.

Test - life path analysis

The student prepares an analytical description of the life path in which he analyses the mental development of the individual at different stages of age using the theoretical approach of developmental psychology. The work describes the nature of development in the physical, cognitive, emotional and social fields and explains the impact of biological, social and environmental factors on development. Evaluation criteria: correct application of developmental theory in analysis, explanation of developmental factors, work conclusions.

Presentation

The student develops an independent integrative study on one psychotic process (e.g. attention, memory, emotion, motivation or thinking) and analyses its role in sports or learning situations at the chosen age and sport. In the study, the student interprets psychological factors that influence human behavior and development and formulates conclusions based on psychology theories and scientific knowledge. Criteria for assessment: theoretical justification and use of literature, reasoning of conclusions.

Test of theoretical knowledge. The test examines students’ knowledge of basic concepts of psychology, theoretical directions of psychology, research methods, psychiatric processes and the legal relationships of human development at different stages of age. Types of questions: multiple choice questions, short answers/open questions, and definition tasks.

Test

Active participation in classes. Students participate in discussions, analyse psychological examples and perform seminar tasks on psychiatric processes and human development at different stages of age. Active participation is credited if the student: participates regularly in seminar classes, engages in discussions and task analysis.
