Objective
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Residents are able to demonstrate advanced level of knowledge and understanding of medical theoretic in obstetrics, that meet the requirements of anaesthesiology and intensive care specialty. Residents develop the basics of creative thinking in clinical practice and partially in research, as well as the skills of working in multidisciplinary team. Residents are able to describe: - physiologic and pathophysiologic changes in the organism of a woman and fetus during pregnancy - primary and secondary diseases in pregnancy - possible complications during delivery and obstetric surgery
Skills
1.Medical residents are able to demonstrate successful performance of the manipulations included in the study course description. Medical residents are able to: - assess the data of paraclinical findings and assess the risk of caesarean section for the mother and foetus, - promptly assess changes in the mother’s and foetus’s body during childbirth, - the necessary practical skills for assisting in childbirth (in extreme situations), - apply analgesia methods in the early postoperative period.
Competences
1.Medical residents are able to successfully apply the acquired theoretical knowledge and manipulation skills in the effective management of various clinical situations in obstetrics.

Type of exam:
During the study course, the degree of achievement of the learning outcomes is assessed by the study course leader.
At the end of the study course, the medical resident answers 3 theoretical questions in writing and reports on practical skills acquired.
