About Study Course

Objective

1. To acquire in practice the recognition of emergency situations and basic principles for solving clinical situation problems. 2. Develop analytical thinking based on ECG. 3. Train to interpret the nuances of the objective examination finding in the context of different clinical situations. 4. To familiarise with the most common pathologies and their characteristics which give rise to acute and urgent situations in the practice of cardiology. 5. Promote the development of clinical thinking among students.

Preliminary Knowledge

Normal physiology, pathological physiology. pharmacology, at semester 6 level, Internal Medicine at semester 8-9 level, Cardiology at semester 6 level.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Demonstrate orientation in the latest medical investigative methods, scientific directions. At the end of studies, the ability to navigate timely recognition of emergency situations in cardiology practice and application of treatment methods is acquired. Is familiar with modern methods.

Individual work and tests

Clinical case tasks

Skills

1.It shall be able to analyse the information obtained in sequence, to recognise possible risk factors.

Competences

1.Recognize the potential level of pathology based on the findings. Choose reasonable therapeutic tactics based on the objective data obtained.
