About Study Course

Objective

Provide theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquisition and the improvement of children's reanimation and intensive care.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.• Be able to explain the terms of resuscitation; • Describe the resuscitation diagnostic principles of operation and use; • Explain the pathogenesis of the disease in intensive care at different ages; • Evaluate child - patient in intensive care; • Name and describe the child shocks; • Compare different methods of investigation; • Define allergic diseases.

Skills

1.The student will be able to: • Collect relevant information about the children's intensive care; • Use the appropriate method for the investigation of patients in intensive care; • Carry out differential diagnosis of patients in intensive care; • Choose the most suitable/appropriate therapy; • Select and make the best use of examinations in accordance with the disease and the patient's age.

Competences

1.The student is able to use the acquired knowledge of the children's intensive therapy: • Is able to formulate a diagnosis in intensive care; • Differentiate diseases; • Interpret the findings of intensive care patients; • Analyze the intensive care patient examinations; • Logically explain the emergence of intensive care patients' condition.

Prepare one clinical case presentation. To teach resident to communicate with children and their parents, guardians, to collect the necessary information – history, to acquire the skills to investigate different age intensive care patients, to choose and make the correct, appropriate diagnostic and treatment procedures.
