About Study Course

Objective

To acquire knowledge about the objectives and tasks of epidemiological supervision, improve knowledge about information input modules in the State Infectious Diseases and Monitoring System VISUMS, information export functions, epidemiological analysis, research, determination of epidemiological risk, statistical processing of epidemiological supervision data. URI and flu monitoring, tuberculosis and STD epidemiological supervision.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.During the period provided for acquisition of the study course a medical resident shall obtain knowledge about: epidemiological supervision purposes and tasks, improve knowledge about the information input modules in the State Infectious Diseases and Monitoring System VISUMS, information export functions, epidemiological analysis, research, determination of the epidemiological risk, statistical processing of epidemiological supervision data. URI and flu monitoring, tuberculosis and STD epidemiological supervision

Skills

1.As a result of acquisition of the study course a medical resident will be able to perform data input and selection from the State Infectious Diseases and Monitoring System VISUMS, epidemiological analysis of infectious diseases by determining risk groups of the population and territories, make research (cohort, case–control), perform statistical processing of the obtained information.

Competences

1.As a result of successful acquisition of the study course a medical resident will develop compulsory competence of a certified public health physician which allows to perform data input and selection from the State Infectious Diseases and Monitoring System VISUMS, epidemiological analysis of infectious diseases by determining risk groups of the population and territories, make research (cohort, case–control), perform statistical processing of obtained data, participate in URI and flu monitoring, tuberculosis and STD epidemiological supervision.
