About Study Course

Objective

The aim of the course is to develop an understanding of the profession of a nutritionist (professional standard, the essence of a nutritionist's consultation, professional qualification improvement), medical ethics and its principles, to develop the ability to search for evidence-based information, as well as to acquire certain knowledge necessary for the profession of a nutritionist (about malnutrition and its assessment) and practical skills (to use the bioimpedance method, skin fold caliper, to use malnutrition screening).

1.Understands the role of the nutritionist in the health care team, the legal and ethical foundations of the profession, and understands the course of the consultation, protocol, indications and contraindications.

The final assessment in this study course is cumulative. To receive a satisfactory assessment in this course, all examinations and independent works must be completed successfully and on time.

To receive the assessment "passed" for the presentation, it is necessary to prepare (in accordance with the conditions specified in e-studies), submit in e-studies within the specified deadline and present in class a research paper on one of the topics offered in e-studies.
