About Study Course

Objective

To ensure the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in general ultrasonography in order to prepare the doctor for certification in the internist specialty, in accordance with the regulatory documents of the Republic of Latvia.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.To analyze the ultrasonography findings of superficially placed tissues and organs, the results of ultrasonographic examination - to be able to evaluate the ultrasonographic dynamics of pathological conditions.

Skills

1.Perform ultrasonographic diagnosis of patients with acute, urgent illnesses and pathological conditions of various organ systems.

Competences

1.Able to constantly perform ultrasonography of the abdominal cavity, superficial tissues and organs and interpret the results.
