About Study Course
Objective
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Knowledge of mutual interconnection of sports medicine as a multidisciplinary field of medicine and emergency medicine. Theoretical and practical knowledge of medical tactics in acute conditions in sports, diagnostics, treatment and prevention of acute conditions in sports and physical activity restrictions.
Skills
1.Ability to apply an emergency medicine algorithm suitable for each situation, reasonably select the most suitable examination methods in case of diseases or injuries, assess examination results and prepare a treatment plan for patients, awareness on the measures to be taken in acute situations at the prehospital stage.
Competences
1.Competence in solving different clinical cases, diagnosis, etiopathogenesis, treatment, prevention and care.

|
Theoretical knowledge is acquired in 2 seminars and individual work with literature. During practical classes students monitor patients under the supervision of a physician eligible to provide such training, participate in examination, perform diagnostic and medical manipulations. A medical resident repeats the first aid algorithms and acquires different emergency medicine manipulations, diagnostic and treatment methods of acute conditions.

At the end of the study course the head of the residency programme evaluates the acquired theoretical knowledge in written and oral form. The written test shall be assessed according to the 10-point grading system.
