About Study Course

Objective

To ensure students acquire theoretical knowledge, practical skills and professional competences in orienteering, nordic walking, tourism and skating in sports and health lessons, in conformity with the content of the general education training area “Health and physical activity”, promoting a safe, inclusive and student development-oriented learning process.

Preliminary Knowledge

Knowledge of foreign languages at a sufficient level to understand specialist literature in English. Basic knowledge from school sport-orienteering, Nordic walking, tourism, skating. Study courses acquired: human anatomy and dynamic anatomy.

During studies, students, using lecture material and various other sources of information, perform independent work:

Develop a lesson plan for orienteering acquisition (40 min), prepare methodological materials (Map/Diagram/Digital tool) and manage part of the plan - practical exercise (s) (10-15 min).

1) An hourly plan has been submitted;

2) methodological materials have been prepared;

3) a practically conducted lesson;

4) safety requirements have been complied with.

Evaluation criteria:

- accuracy of objectives and SR

- methodological validity

- terminology use

- compliance with safety requirements

- use of digital tools

- flexibility and analysis

The plan should be transferred to the e-learning environment (assessment in 6 criteria, each 0-2 points).

Outdoor Nordic activity

Prepare and implement one of the activities after the draw.

During studies, students, using lecture material and various other sources of information, perform independent work:

Develop a roaming lesson plan and perform an analysis of the individual technique by developing a refinement plan (exercises, dosing).

Conditions of performance: (1) a plan submitted; (2) a technical analysis submitted; (3) practical performance demonstrated; (4) safety observed.

During studies, students, using lecture material and various other sources of information, shall perform independent work

designing and conducting part of the roller skating class, including safety instruction and technical learning.

Conditions of performance: 1) written plan; 2) safety briefing; 3) practical guidance; 4) prepared instructional materials.

Tourism activity

During studies, students, using lecture material and various other sources of information, perform independent work:

Plans outdoor activities with basic tourism skills, including using modern technologies - mobile apps and or GPS logging devices.

Develop the basis of the tourism technique for school teaching the content of the class (60 min.) with 1 practical task management (10-15 min.) and an interdisciplinary element.

Conditions of performance:

1) lesson plan submitted; 2) methodological material developed; 3) practical management; 4) safety observed.

Test on technical skills and development of various sports (orienteering, nordic walking, tourism, skating), organisation of classes, safety, assessment of performance during sports and health hours, according to the content of the training of general educational schools.

The test consists of 30 questions

- 20 multiple-choice questions (Z1–Z5)

- 5 short-answer questions (Z2, Z3, Z5)

- 5 situation analysis questions (P1, K2, K3)

Theoretical foundations; didactics; safety; terminology; assessment; digital technologies; analysis of pedagogical situations.

The test is passed if at least 50% of the maximum number of points is obtained.

Number of correct answers; in situation analysis – validity of the argumentation and identification of safety aspects.

1–10 points (proportionate to the points obtained). Description in e-studies.
