About Study Course

Objective

To promote knowledge and skill development in health promotion in educational setting as well as improvement of health promotion competences for future public health specialists.

Preliminary Knowledge

Basic knowledge in public health, ethics, psychology, health promotion and prevention, pedagogy.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Students will know about health-related risk factors in schoolchildren and health promotion approaches in schools, teacher, psychologist, social teacher functions in schoolchildren health promotion.

Skills

1.Students will know how to promote health in schools and how to implement health education in schools (different teaching methods in school and outside school activities: project method, interaction method, knowledge and skills evaluation method).

Competences

1.Future public health specialists will be able to professionally promote schoolchildren health by applying diverse pedagogical methods, as well as be able to promote collaboration among schools, families, governmental and non-governmental institutions.
