About Study Course

Objective

To ensure the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in electrocardiography in order to prepare the doctor for certification in the internist specialty, in accordance with the regulatory documents of the Republic of Latvia.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Upon completion of the study course, the resident will know the theoretical and practical aspects of electrocardiography in ECG interpretation, drawing conclusions and clinical application.

Skills

1.Upon completion of the study course, the resident will be able to interpret ECG in acute and chronic situations, interpret the results in relation to the specific clinical situation.

Competences

1.Evaluate the obtained signs, connect them with pathological processes in the patient's body. Interpret the finding, apply it to a specific clinical situation and relate it to the overall investigation process. Interpret ECG changes, relate them to a specific clinical situation and relate them to the overall investigation process. Be able to analyze situations, argue, logically formulate and explain your opinion.
